Warrior Mom
Robin worked in the studio on her latest design "Warrior Mom", as part of Autism awareness for April. The pendant is a sterling silver puzzle pieces with copper tiger stripes soldered over the top. It looks very cool and pictures will be posted soon. I prepped a ring and pendant piece for new bezels and how to make head pins with small flat ends instead of balled. The first one came out okay and with a little practice I should have it down, pictures to follow once I have it mastered.

Loss of Local Craft Warehouse
Robin went to Craft Warehouse early to see if she could get any supplies and tools, as they are closing in our area. It was a nice store to get supplies and tools at and will be missed. She was able to pick up some pliers on sale, but the lines were huge. The firemarshel had to limiting the people who could enter the building, and Robin had to wait for about an hour just to get in and another hour to check out, so a long morning for her. I updated some of our records and pricelist for materials. It is amazing how much silver has gone up. Purchases from just over a year ago were around seventeen dollars an ounce, now it is almost fourty. I also created a grid for size reference to be used when photographing jewelry to help the customers know what the actual size is. I created the template using a work processer and added a picture in the background with "Delightful b Design" logo at the top.

Hillsboro Artwalk
I showed some of my art at the Sports Look Restraunt as part of the Hillsboro Artwalk last night. Luckily the rain stayed away for the evening and I was able to me some people who enjoy art. Elizabeth Wisler, an accorsionist, was also there playing music from around the world in many different styles. It was fun and I made of couple of sales too. Robin had a busy day with dentist appointment, errands, and watching the boys all evening so I could do the Artwalk. She was able to work on some sketches of upcoming designs.

Gem Fair and Friends
We visited some friends down in Eugene this weekend and Robin was able to go to the gem fair there with her friend for some girl time without the kids. She found some cute little round garnet cabs and some faceted peridot to practice setting on. Up till now we have only bezel set stones, so looking to expand our skills and we will keep you posted on how it goes. I was able to do some sketches and am working on a design for autism since April is Autism Awareness Month and our youngest son is autistic so it has more meaning for us. Robin's first autism piece got lots of hits on etsy and sold this weekend :) Robin has a few other pieces in the design phase and will share them as she gets them a little farther along.

Copper, Sterling, Amazonite Earrings
Robin was able to finish her latest earrings. They feature a copper base with formed sterling silver wire shapes inspired by leaves and hearts with a center amazonite stone set in fine silver bezel with a scalloped edge. The colors of the stone and copper play off each other very well. They will be available soon in her Etsy shop.
